A gun is like a coupon that never expires!
A Florida woman attempted to use an online-only coupon to get one dollar off at her local Walmart. When her coupon was rejected, the woman became belligerent, warning Walmart employees—who at this point find nothing surprising—not to follow her to her car. She then retrieved her loaded Smith & Wesson .38 Special from the car and waved it around a bit. Eventually, she drove off and was pulled over by police. Obviously, this is exactly what our forefathers had in mind when they drafted the Second Amendment. The unconscionable tyranny of cashiers is why we fought the Revolutionary War, after all. As you’ll recall from history class, the British refused to honor a coupon for buy-one-get-one-free haddock, and all hell broke loose.

just to point out a few things:
- this woman had a gun in her car
- she used it to threaten innocent people
- the police were called
- the police knew she had a gun
- they pulled her over
- they didn’t shoot her 17 times.

I love when people think up clever stuff:
Wheelchair Adaptive Stroller.
Parenting in the first stages of infancy can be incredibly challenging – add a mobile disability to the equation and you can imagine how daunting it might seem. The Cursum stroller concept aims to make life a little easier by adapting to use in tandem with a wheelchair. Swivel wheels, complete height adjustment, attention to comfort and visibility and advanced safety features give parents added security and a little independence to an already challenging life experience.

Poem written by an 11 year old Afghan girl
This poem was recorded in a NYT magazine article about female underground poetry groups in Afghanistan. An amazing article about the ways in which women are using a traditional two line poetry form to express their resistance to male oppression, their feelings about love (considered blasphemous), and their doubts about religion.

I wonder how many minuets of silence was observed by America in their memory. Or was American time too precious to be wasted in the names of these brown bodies?

Biologists would have you call this thing an Armadillo-Girdled Lizard, Cordylus cataphractus, but I won’t be fooled. This is clearly a baby dragon. They also have this adorable habit of biting their own tails for no discernible reason. Which is adorable until you remember what the ouroboros is, and inevitably conclude that these things are also dark magic.
Magical dragons. It all makes sense.
I NEED ONE
Adorable magic reptilian baby!
I want one so bad. Have for a while now =(
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, the newly named Chair of the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Personnel, pressed military officials for answers on sexual assault today during her first hearing as Subcommittee Chair and the first Senate hearing on the issue in nearly a decade.
“If you think you are achieving discipline and order with your current convening authority framework, I am sorry to say that you are wrong. And every victim that has come in front of this committee and every story that we have heard over the weeks and months shows that we have not even begun to address this problem.”

misandry cannot exist because women do not hold enough positions in power to oppress men
When you approach me in public, you are Schrödinger’s Rapist. You may or may not be a man who would commit rape. I won’t know for sure unless you start sexually assaulting me. I can’t see inside your head, and I don’t know your intentions. If you expect me to trust you—to accept you at face value as a nice sort of guy—you are not only failing to respect my reasonable caution, you are being cavalier about my personal safety.
Fortunately, you’re a good guy. We’ve already established that. Now that you’re aware that there’s a problem, you are going to go out of your way to fix it, and to make the women with whom you interact feel as safe as possible.
The more I read this the more I’m in love with it.
